Throughout history, victims of crime have often found themselves excluded from the justice system, devoid of the same rights as the offenders in their cases. Victims’ Voices Heard is dedicated to bridging this gap, offering a unique Victim-Offender Dialogue Program. This program extends a lifeline to victims and survivors of violent crimes, granting them the invaluable opportunity to engage with their offenders face-to-face. By doing so, we aim to facilitate the crucial processes of healing and recovery. Our mission is to break the cycle of repeated violence, and we do so by implementing evidence-based programs within various correctional facilities across the state of Delaware. This proactive approach helps to significantly reduce the likelihood of recidivism. At Victims’ Voices Heard, we have established an Apology Letter Bank, enabling victims of violent crimes to reach out to us and inquire about whether an offender has submitted an apology letter for their actions. It is our unwavering commitment to provide these essential services free of charge to victims of violent crimes, as well as their courageous survivors and families.

A propos de Dr. Malik Abaci
In 2009, Malik Abacı graduated from Bolu İzzet Baysal University, Düzce Faculty of Medicine. After completing his specialty training, he was appointed as a Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist at Karabük Training and Research Hospital.
In 2018, he was appointed as a founding faculty member and head of the department of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Karabük University. In 2019, he established the burn unit under the same roof. As of 2022, he has been accepting you, our esteemed patients, in his own practice.

About Bernard Akana
Bernard K. Akana (1920 or 1921 – April 12, 1990) was an American engineer and politician. He served as the Mayor of Hawaii County from 1988 until his death on April 12, 1990. Akana worked for the Hawaii Electric Light Company as a design planner before his retirement. He unsuccessfully ran as a perennial candidate for elected office on ten separate elections over the course of twenty years before being elected Mayor of Hawaii County in 1988. In 1988, Akana challenged incumbent Democratic Hawaii County Mayor Dante Carpenter in the mayoral election.
